1. Basic technique: paisley stamp from Polka Dots & Paisley, Real Red card stock, and a white gel pen.
Stamp image on bright or dark card stock. You will want to use a dark enough color so the white ink shows up.
2. Using white gel pen, begin adding white accents to stamped images-you can do this by drawing within double lines, adding dots, doodles, etc.
4. First sample: “Time Well Spent” stamp set; Yoyo Yellow, Whisper White, and Basic Black card stock; clear round button, black gingham ribbon, ticket corner punch, Crop-A-Dile, needle from the tool kit, Crystal Effects, Ticket Corner punch
8. Add a clear button accented with a piece of black gingham ribbon to the center of the flower. I find it easier to thread the ribbon through the button holes by first threading the ribbon in a large needle from the tool kit.
9. Layer the card and sentiment on Whisper White and Basic Black card stock, and accent the sentiment layers with black gingham ribbon (I used a Crop-A-Dile to punch the holes for the ribbon.
10. Second sample: Smaller flower from the “Time Well Spent” stamp set, Only Orange card stock, . I stamped the sentiment on the same layer, and then masked it before adding more of the flowers. This card is just one layer, so is quick and easy.
13. Using the mini background dotted stamp from “Polka Dots & Paisley” stamp on Basic Black card stock with White Craft ink.
16. I then used the “no bow” bow to add black gingham ribbon to the photo corners and adhered them to the card front.
17. Third Sample: “Wanted” stamp set, Real Red card stock, White Craft ink, white embossing powder, heat gun, sponge daubers, Build-A-Brads, ½” circle punch
Stamp “wanted” in black ink directly on the Real Red card stock.
18. Mask “wanted” (I also masked the center medallion but ended up covering it with something else, so ignore the purple circle!)
21. Stamp the horse image on Basic Black card stock with White Craft ink. Heat emboss with white embossing powder. Create a grungy look by tearing around the image, and accenting the edges with White Craft ink and a sponge dauber. I ink both sides and then kind of “roll” the torn edges to the front. Layer on a piece of Whisper White card stock that has edges torn and inked with black ink and sponge dauber.
22. Using the ½” circle punch, punch out two circles with scrap left from the photo corners. Using Crystal Effects or other adhesive, place the card stock circles in the brads. I used a drop of Crystal Effects on the card stock circles before placing the clear tops of the Build-a-Brads.
23. Using the Crop-A-Dile, punch a hole in the left side of the horse layer, and tie a piece of red gingham ribbon through the hole. Assemble the rest of the card.
