One-Line Bio
I'm primarily a self-taught mixed media and folk doll artist who lives in the west-central part of North Dakota. I love living the creative life!
Biography
I'm married to my best friend, and we have four grown children, two beautiful granddaughters, one very spoiled dog, and one slightly spoiled cat. I love being creative, and more than that, I love sharing my creative life with others.
I live in west-central North Dakota in coal, cattle, and cowboy country...in a small community of about 3100. I enjoy a quiet, but creative life...I'm currently a graphic design student and I also teach various mixed media classes online. I enjoy working with many different mediums, but paper, paint, and fabric are my favorites. Dolls and doll dresses are my favorite motifs, and I enjoy designing and teaching various types of handcrafted dolls and mixed media pieces.
I currently host workshops and many different groups on my own Ning site at http://www.anitavanhal.ning.com called "Just Be Yourself," a creative group for girls and women ages 13+...we host many different groups including sewing, needlework, cooking, baking, home decor, mixed media, rubber stamping and more...
